Deconstructing Thinking: What’s Worth Keeping?

For the past several years, i have been aiming to create the space and time to live the life of my dreams and to enjoy the personal freedom i worked so hard to achieve. But it seems to slip away with every minute i clock on the computer in an attempt to make my life easier.

I fantasize about achieving “lean operations” for my company and artistic practices, convinced there is a version of my life where I can take advantage of the changes that are taking place within. Inevitably, the transformation i seek has to do with my habits, since the same actions create the same results, and i am also working on my beliefs to change the perspective i have on my circumstances.

Having healer friends and colleagues is one hell of a way to keep yourself accountable for what you create: If it’s in your life, you have manifested it, and it’s your job to dis-create what doesn’t work for you!

Everyone is different and i am putting in the time to become the best version of myself. In theory, i thought the question was to distinguish between what’s worth keeping and what needs to be ignored, but in practice, i realize it’s about how to make my life easy as a perfectionist – and i’m not going to compromise on standards. That’s one thing i learned as an artist: through the mastery of technique you can thrive with excellence (at least working on it).

That said, as a healing arts instructor, and someone who people rely on for individual support and to clear their energy, i feel the pressure to walk the talk, because healing yourself is an act of leadership. So how can i make my life easier? What is it that i don’t know, that could cut through my current blocks? What discoveries will allow me to truly experience Life with Flow?

“Healing yourself is an act of leadership”

I used to think the answer was in decluttering my physical and digital world and optimizing my life in general. But objectively what is happening is an ephemeral release of dopamine every time i accomplish something. If i want to reevaluate that pattern then i need to ‘dig on it’ to determine what’s happening, and what’s outside of my current comfort zone. The idea is to keep all the positive beliefs without the hormonal addiction to experience more serenity and harmony.

When you change your subconscious thinking, especially when it has to do with feelings, your physiology is affected and those chemicals are traveling through your blood, talking to organs.

The way i work with my thoughts as an experienced ThetaHealer is a bit like clay: it’s less about the opinions and being right, and more about assessing the energy behind the words. Because even if at first it’s the limiting beliefs we are after, with a more nuanced approach, the issue i need to identify might be the over-correction to a good thing or the attachment to something i consider desirable.

Positive beliefs can be sneaky “false friends” that end up being in the way of what you think you want to create.

ThetaHealing is a tool for people who have their spiritual practice and seek laser clarity to cut through their old patterns and self-talk. It’s a process of questioning where i get to choose how to reorganize my perspective. Here’s what a conversation can look like. It’s not about the logic of it, but recognizing how each particular brain is hooked up to fine-tune the energy behind the words.

Q – When i no longer need the good feeling associated with accomplishing tasks, what will be different? What happens when i detach from the need to do a good job?
A – Wow, life would become magic – it already is – and/
Q – Wait: what would be different than today?
A – More time for adventure and discoveries.
Q – What kind?
A – Air.
Q – What?
A – I would breathe different.
Q – Oh, ok.

When you receive healing treatment (aka energetic download), your body feels different. You’re less in your head and more present, integrated between mind, body, and spirit. The key is that after you do the Theta Healing, your subconscious starts to work for you instead of against you.

Now when i ask: “What’s worth keeping?” and “Am i living the life i want to live?” it will be a different answer. And it’s important to notice what’s different, specifically how i feel about it, and find out about the positive lesson.

Throughout the process, i keep digging to see if there are any fears, attachments, or past traumas. It’s not so much about the reason behind everything, but to play with the words to discover the patterns of my particular mind. For instance: “How is it serving me to be addicted to completing tasks?” or “What would be the worst thing if everything is already completed and you could focus on what you want to play with, not just what you think you should be doing?”

Asking different questions and replacing the beliefs will continue expanding my thinking to overcome blocks and recreate the neural connections in alignment with my heart’s desire. Of course, it’s important to take action, and i can read online about toxic productivity, or write smart goals that have to do with self-care and more personal time, but those do not address the underlying issue. ThetaHealing is a way to custom tailor the patterns of your life so you can make your life in alignment with my purpose.

Digging on the beliefs in a session is like doing mental pushups. Everyone gets to clarify the lesson outside their comfort zone and channel their wisdom. That’s what i love about it.

With a sleep cycle, your soul recovers and your mind is clearer. So don’t be hard on yourself, and don’t neglect the power of your thoughts: you can create the life you want. Give it a second.
